I stayed for 2 nights a couple of weeks ago, the hotel was modern, clean and very nice kitchenette setting. Staff was very friendly, the free breakfast was great not your simple waffle breakfast but a big breakfast with all the works. Love it! The hotel was close to all the fun and interesting things in the downtown area.

The location was fantastic and convenient for checkout out downtown. The room was comfortable. We had a separate bedroom, a living area with a pull out bed and a kitchen. Worked out well for 4 adults and an infant. The gym was also great. There is a charge for parking since it is in downtown. Cost is $18 per day.

The main upside to the Residence Inn Austin Downtown is its location. The hotel itself is also nice, equipped with a full kitchen, small living area with a hide-away sofa bed, and a bedroom with an attached bathroom. The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely helpful and polite. Although overall I was pleased with this hotel, there were some drawbacks. The largest was the fact that the bed was only a queen size bed. Also, I have stayed in other hotels in the downtown area, but for some reason, at this hotel it seemed like I could hear every siren, car horn, or dumpster truck that passed by even though we were on the 11th floor (was not a constant disruption, but a disruption nonetheless). All in all, I would recommend this hotel, especially if you can find a good deal.

Our room was very nice and the staff was very nice. It was great to have them shop for our groceries so that when we got back from a day on the convention floor we could just relax. It took us a couple of days to figure out that we could get room service including dringks from the resturant. Our cheif complaint stems from the fact that our room faced 6th Street, the famous live music scene area of Austin. This meant that we had live music in our room until 2am every night, even with 6th Street being two blocks away. If you are used to city noise, this is the place for you. If you need peace and quiet, be sure to get something further away from 6th Street.
