My wife and I stayed here while being treated at MD Anderson Cancer Clinic in June-July 2009. This hotel is conveniently located, with ample free parking. While there, we used the motel shuttles which run every 30 minutes on a circuit that includes the Springhill Suites as well and any of the local hospitals and clinics. It is also located next door to a Kroger Grocery Store, with a key card activated gate for access. The morning breakfast is adequate with good variety of choices. The weekday afternoon-evening reception has limited food, but most folks seemed to make the most of it. Good restaurants and fast food are also nearby.

The Marriott Houston Medical Center inn at Reliant Park offers a lot of conveniences detailed in its online listing, but a lot of amenities not listed as well. It's right next to a Kroger Grocery and two doors down from a CVS Pharmacy, so it's possible to really use the apartment-style kitchen either for a short stay or a long visit. For example, I ordered pizza the first night from a menu in the room, so I was able to cut my dining expenses at night by eating left over pizza the second night of my two-night stay. The Marriott also provides a full breakfast as well as a small buffet meal on Monday through Thursday nights. Make sure to get there by at least 7 p.m., however. The shuttle service will take guests anywhere within a two-mile radius, but guests need to allow about a 30 to 45 minute lead time since the shuttle bus transports guests to a multitude of various clinics and hospitals, for example, M. D. Anderson, Texas Children's Hospital, and so forth. The staff as well as the other guests were very accomodating. In between visits to the doctor, guests can go to the zoo, several art museums, a park with a miniature train, and Rice Village, an upscale shopping area with lots of restaurants, beauty shops, and a used book store.
