Casa Del Sol is showing some age in places and is certainly not the Ritz, but it was clean and well located. We had a two bedroom unit on the third (top) floor. It had a full kitchen, washer and dryer, a big screen T.V. with a DVD player, and smaller T.V.'s in each bedroom. You can get books and DVDs in the office (free). There were two screened in balconies with double doors that opened out onto them, one from the living room and one from the bedroom. One night we had a thunderstorm and slept with those doors wide open... just heaven for two Midwesterners in the middle of winter. The pool is smallish but very clean. Beach is small too, but it is the Keys. There were many good restaurants ( not fancy, but nice laid back local places with great food and friendly people), two fish markets, and two good grocery stores within ten miles. We enjoyed our stay...just to get out into warm air and do nothing was what we wanted. We were comfortable doing just that at Casa Del Sol. Only two negatives... beds not great and water pressure in the shower was downright lousy. We also could have used a doorstop to keep the french doors to our balcony open...but we used a big pot of water and it worked fine. All in all we really liked it, liked the area, and will probably go back. Everyone we talked to there from the young people that worked in the office to the guy cleaning the pool were friendly and helpful. This is not a place for frou frou city people who expect room service and night life, but we thought it was great. Our room number was 207.
