We have traveled to Estes Park the past 6 years and stayed at a variety of places. Riverview Pines was a wonderful spot for myself and my children. We enjoyed our visit and the friendly service we recieved which was over and beyond expectations! We look forward to returning next summer to Riverview Pines.

We stayed in the least expensive room for 4 nights. The room was large, nice and clean. The building was older, and some of the walls were cinder block, but the beds were comfortable. There was a frig and microwave. It is on a mountain stream. Just open the sliding glass door onto the balcony and listen to the rushing water. The staff was very personable, and we would stay again.

New manager needs better training

We have stayed at Riverview Pines several times.When we made reservations for 2 nights we requested ground level. The place was almost empty when we arrived 9/14/09 about 5:30p.m. we were given the key to our room...on the 2nd floor. We told him we had requested & been assured it would be on the 1st floor. He told us there was no problem he'd change it. & gave us the key to a ground floor room. When we went into the room it had not been cleaned. We called the desk & he was "so surprised!" He brought us a key to a 3rd room. We left the room the next morning & when we returned that night, this room had not been cleaned. We called the desk & again he was "so surprised" He didn't know how that could have happened!... He was sure they had cleaned it...He just didn't know what happened. The sliding glass door leading to the river was unlocked & the drapes were closed. Fortunately, we always check all the windows & doors. This is a lovely place on the river. We've stayed here 6 times for different length stays & never had a problem with the room under previous management. This has been the 1st place we would inquire about in the past. However, under this management, we will not stay here again. We require a clean room! We also require a room that we feel safe in.
