This is a great budget hotel. Our room looked as if it had been recently renovated. Everything was fresh and clean. The big screen HD TV and the free wireless internet were unexpected bonuses. Granted there is no restuarant on-site, the rooms are not spacious, the free breakfast is only coffee, juice and donuts and the lobby it tiny; but we only wanted a quiet, clean and comfortable room. That is what we got at a bargain rate (<$*night). The only other negative is that its access is somewhat hidden away but it is handy to I-26, the Blue Ridge Parkway, I-40 and Biltmore.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. My husband and I took a very long road trip and wanted to spend a few days in Asheville. We had booked pricey hotels in Savannah and at nearby Lake Lure, so we decided to take a gamble and try Rodeway Inn to save some money. We were pleasantly surprised! The room was very clean and spacious, with a flat screen TV, refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom looked like it had recently been updated. Every staff member we enountered, from the manager to housekeeping, was friendly and helpful. This hotel is a gem. You cannot beat the value for the money. I would stay at a Rodeway Inn again.

We stayed in a room on the second floor. A foul, moldy smell arose from the carpet as we entered the room. The toilet appeared dirty or not cleaned adequately. Then numerous tiny ants crawled up the nightstand and on the pillow. They moved us to the fourth floor at our request. The front desk stated that they have been having problems with ants in that room and the room next door. The fourth floor room was better but was nothing special. We will never go there again and do not recommend it to anyone.
