The rating on this review does not work. I wanted to rate it good. I took two families to San Antonio. We agreed that we only needed a place to shower and sleep as our trip was about having some good old fashion family fun running around San Antonio. Rooms were clean, cool and exactly what we expected. Office people were very nice and we loved our hot breakfast (waffle). We had a good night sleep and hot shower. I would use this place again.

My husband and i stayed a week, we were very disappointed the wall air conditioning was so load u couldn't sleep u could here people on the other side of the wall, the hair dryer would not work , and the sink would not drain, And being there a week we had planned on going swimming , but the pool is so small i couldn't. swim when i ask why it was so small they said people dont come here to swim , How could they know what i came there for. , And I got bit by something while sleeping, by the time i got home and got to the doctor ,He told me it was a staff infection ,So I had to pay for a doctor visit, medication, 10 days of work and * just for the room, when pulled up i new i didn't want to stay there.

I was disapointed at teh Highspeed Internet it was not avalible inn the rooms and the computer at the office was very slow. the room was clean and the bed were good veryone who worked there where nice but it was overpriced The Holiday INN next door was very nice but it was booked, but about the same price

STAY AWAY!!! STAY AWAY!!!
03/22/2008This was the worst expreience i have ever had. what an expreience for a girl scout troop. we had 4 rooms for 4 nights!
1. the rooms were filthy< ...This was the worst expreience I have ever had. What an expreience for a Girl Scout Troop. We had 4 rooms for 4 nights!
1. The rooms were filthy
2. The "housekeeper" put DIRTY WET sheets back on our beds. When we requested clean sheets, the night manager gave us the sheets and told us to change them!! I DON'T THINK SO! After forcibly requesting that he change the sheets, he did, but only under protest!!!
3. There was mold growing in the bathrooms.
4. The floors had not been vaccuumed in God knows when!
5. The regrigerators were filthy!
6. Their "FREE" breakfast - one group from one of our rooms went down at 7:50AM-there was no breakfast items to be found. We had to take them and buy breakfast for them, after the person working the desk told us all of the breakfast was gone, and we should have gotten there sooner.
7. Upon checkout - the person who was supposed to be working the desk was no where to be found. Only after banging on the "PRIVATE" door on the outside of the building, did he come out (45 minutes later) needless to say, we were late arriving home. -

I almost didn't book this hotel because of all the bad reviews I read about it. Glad I didn't take them to heart. This place is old yes, but, it was clean and everyone was VERY nice and helpful, it is located close to Sea World and downtown which is what we were looking for. All I can say is you get what you pay for, if you want fancy you have to pay the price for it....
The only problem we did have are the beds are hard, oh well you can't have it all... we will definetly stay there again..
