This hotel charged me for pre-existing damages to the room. They admitted to the damages already being there and then sent pictures and charged me anyway. Make sure you have an employee thoroughly inspect the room in front of you when you check in.

The hotel was located on a main drag and easy to find, but it looked more like a motel than a hotel. The room was very old with old furniture, the bathroom needed major updates and repairs, the bedding looked like it was from the 70's, and the air was DAMP and heavy. I finally found a portable dehumidifier and turned it on. In the morning, this humidifier had two gallons of water in its holding tank. My feet stuck to the carpet when I walked on it, and I made my son walk around in shoes. After a shower, my son and I went over to the Applebee's next door to get breakfast, which would cost us $* per person. Their breakfast consisted of a minimal coffee service and muffins/pastries, which appeared to have been previously (cryogenic-ally?) frozen and then "brought back to life." We turned right around and left. After discussions with the hotel manager and the travel agency, we booked ourselves into a new hotel for the last night of our visit.

The room was very well decorated, bed comfortable and bathroom clean and well maintained. The pool area was relaxing and clean. There were many restaurants in the area and the help were very gracious. We had a good experience.

The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. Very courteous upon check in/out. My husband accidentally left his favorite tempurpedic pillow behind in the hotel room. We called the hotel a day later and they cheerfully confirmed they had the pillow and would mail it to us at no cost. This is extraordinary customer service and I would like to thank the staff for their efforts.

This hotel is very clean. About 10 minutes away (by car) from downtown Newport. We stayed there for three nights over Memorial Day Weekend. The hotel was quiet at night and the beds comfortable. The rooms are on the small side, but well equipped with a microwave and a small fridge. We're definitely coming back. It also has a room safe which is very convenient.
