This was our 3rd trip to Royal Decameron and we are planning our 4th. The staff is great they go out of there way to make sureyou have a good time. Red stripe beer is good quot not Coors Lightquot but it worked for week. food very good Nice shopping within walking distance shop daytime hours of course. Learn to so no!!! All in all a great time cant wait to go back.

It was a girls weekend getaway and the resort was great!!! The resort was very clean and the staff was very helpful. When we arrived it was before check-in but they placed our luggage in a secure room while we walked around. The beach is private and plenty of chairs around. The swim up bar is great also and daily activities were happening. The activities crew did a good job getting the guests to participate. The bartenders were great also...make sure you bring an insulated plastic cup/mug from home and the bartenders will fill it up for you. The restuarant was good also. Breakfast lunch and dinner always had a nice assortment of Jamaican food as well as American. I enjoyed the Jamaican food the best!! When you go for breakfast make sure you get Kimmarley to make your omelettes...he is the best!! The staff is very helpful and friendly. Also the security is excellent so there is no need to worry about non-guests coming into the resort to bother you. The rooms are spacious and oceanview. We dont know how the TV was because we never turned it on...too much going on. The location of the hotel is 5mins from the airport. Its also on the quothip stripquot with all the shops and clubs. If you want to party there is a shuttle that picks you up at the resort for free and takes you to Margaritaville and a few other clubs and brings you back. The overall experience was great and planning on returning w/in the year. Definitely stay here!!

My homegirl and I just spent 4 days at this resort and all I can say is WONDERFUL!!!!! The staff was WONDERFUL the food was WONDERFUL the whole resort is just WONDERFUL!!! I really enjoyed myself and I would definately recommend this hotel to my friends and family. This was my first time to Jamaica and was worried at first but I fell in love as soon as I checked in. I enjoyed my stay sooo much I just might venture down again by myself soon!! ..yup thats just how peaceful and relaxed I was!!!

My friend and I just got back from this trip yesterday. It was a GREAT vacation! We only went for 5 days but had the best time! We were a little nervous traveling since we are two young women, not traveling with any guys... we didn't know if we would be bothered by over-zealous men! Though Jamaicans are generally friendlier and pushier than Americans, we did not have any issues beyond a couple of situations when we needed to be firm. I would suggest being a bit more guarded with personal information than normally necessary in the US. The resort was not large but had everything that we needed. It has three small beaches and two pools (one with a swim-up bar). The food was awesome! (We never made reservations for the restaurant because the buffet was so good!) The drinks are STRONG- especially rum drinks. Herro at the bar in the lobby became our best friend- he is both entertainment and bar-keep. Unfortunately a cold front (and HUGE lightning/wind storm) came through on our fourth day. This meant that the sea was VERY rough and the waves were crashing over the seawalls, taking out some of the fencing in front of the resort. It was a little scary at times but made the area sunny and windy- actually nice for laying out! Our room was so great! We asked for two double beds and after one night in a temp room we were assigned an apartment- we had our own patio which was about 25 feet from the sea- gorgeous views, quiet neighbors and a huge living area! If you want some space, ask for one of these rooms! All in all this was a great place to stay- I would go for it again!

Stayed at the RDMB in December of 2009 with my boyfriend and had a great time. We loved the beach and feeding the fish everyday. The rooms were very clean and if you needed anything you just had to ask. The staff is very friendly and full of energy all day. The resort is small but you get to know some of the other guests and hang out. Was disapointed when the hot tub was closed the whole week we were there. The snack bar has great jerk wings, and the buffet was decent, the ala carte was good to but you only have two seating and have to make reservations. It does get alittle load around the pool area during the day and the stage at nite so I hope you are not planning to go to bed until after 11 p.m. All in all we had a blast there and I hope you do too. It is your vacation make it the best and just relax don't sweat the small stuff.
