While I was in Victoria, I stayed for 4 nights at the Royal Scot and the experience was awesome. From the moment I made the reservations to the morning I left, I had incredible service...the front desk staff, the shuttle drivers (I kept them busy taking me to events downtown), to the wonderful cleaning ladies. Walking distance to the harbour, retaurants and shopping. I was upgraded to the queen with kitchenette, perfect, spacious and so comfortable...felt like home...but quieter (LOL). The food and service at Jonathan's Restaurant was so delicious. Overall the Royal Scot was excellent, I will definitely be staying there when I return next year. I highly recommend the Royal Scot!! Enjoy.

The Royal Scot welcomed us and our dogs, with open arms. When you travel with dogs, you typically don't have many choices of places to stay. Royal Scot is one of the better places. The ground floor room with easy access to the outdoors, for potty trips, was a big plus. Royal Scot is very well situated in downtown Victoria, easy walking distance to many restaurants and the sights. On the down side, it has a dated motel feel, with low ceilings in the rooms and hallways. It was difficult to maintain a comfortable room temperature, even though we'd turned down our thermostat and opened the window to let in some cool air. I'd be very concerned about room temperature in Summer. We visited in March when it was 55 degrees outside.
