Returned on 3/19/11. Front desk was great, we got there early morning and were able to check in and were upgraded to a studio. Lovely room, kept very clean, very comfortable bed, quite large room. Location was perfect, 1 block to Lincoln Rd., Close to clubs, taxi's out front at all times. Pool area was very nice, pool temperature was to warm to feel refreshing, staff were friendly. We chose to be on the beach everyday, and all of the guys that worked the area were great. We did not do the breakfast/beach chair pckg at $18/person. Thought it was not worth it for us. The breakfast buffet is very nice though, my husband eats breakfast, I only eat a yogurt, so we just bought some stuff at the Walgreens, which was right on the next corner. So we paid $10/person for our beach chairs everyday, which was great, we ordered lunch everyday at the beach and put it on our room. the burgers were awesome, they couldn't be more helpful on the beach. Room service was good, very clean and efficient. I would return to this hotel without question. Aslo, about 15 min away from MIami airport.

My husband and I went to South Beach for the first time for a romantic getaway in July 2010 and stayed at the Sagamore. It was the perfect place to be. The hotel was beautiful, exceptionally clean and well stocked with all the amenities....including a blow dryer and in room coffee. The bed was very comfortable...no complaints with the room at all. The grounds were gorgeous and well maintained. As nice as the accomodations were...they were no comparison to the top notch service. the poolside bartender, was awesome...he makes the best Mojitos on South Beach!!! the beach attendants, were equally awesome! The entire staff was friendly and attentive to our every need. The location is perfect...just a block away from Lincoln Avenue. We took advantage of the Sagamore package which included a full American breakfast...one word...delicious! Eggs, bacon, sausage, bagles, fresh fruit, several juices and coffee. The package also inculdes beach chairs which are SO comfortable! Well worth the $* per person per day!! I cannot say enough great things about this hotel and their staff. Our only regret is that we didn't get to stay longer....but we are already planning a trip there next year! If you are going to SOBE....stay at the Sagamore...you won't be disappointed! One word of caution...food is very expensive. The average dinner is about $* per person...not including drinks...so bring your money....or do what we did. There is a Walgreens at the corner that sells just about anything you need...great place to pick up snacks and drinks at affordable prices. Eat breakfast at the hotel, snack for lunch and then have a nice dinner out...it will save you tons of money! There is also a great sandwich place 2 doors down from the hotel...good food, great prices!

My fiancée and I stayed unfortunately only one night in this wonderful hotel on our way down to the keys. From the very courteous valet staff to the wonderful staff at the front desk, we were blown away. While we waited for the elevator to go up to our room, we noticed a great variety of artwork. The artwork was amazing from the blue swing in the lobby, to the many great pieces along the walkway to the pool, to the TV’s outsides, and the creative pool atmosphere. It was amazing! The room was spacious and very comfortable. I wish I could have brought that bed home with me!! The best sleep we both have gotten in a long time. Also the couch in the room is very spacious and great for relaxing out of the summer heat of Florida. The bathroom was so nice. One word of advice, if you use their shampoo, try not to get it in your eyes unless you want to wake up. The beach was great. The water is clear and inviting. Great for tanning!! The pool was the perfect temperature, and we loved how you can just gradually walk in. The chairs by the pool were also very comfortable. My only suggestion is to have a bar open for the hotel guests, so we can drink there rather than walk to a different hotel or restaurant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wishes to travel to the Miami Beach area.

When we arrived, we were informed we had no room. Even though the hotel was not listed in the top 5 party hotels, they have a disco in the lobby. It was loud and ready for action when we got there. People were coming in and out that were not guests of the hotel. We were not up for a party at 11:30 p.m. after traveling all day and dealing with a time change. The hotel manager was sorry they had overbooked their rooms and found us a room next door at the Ritz Carlton. We were ready to pay $$$ for the Sagamore as it seemed very chic. The Ritz was a little cheaper, but they know how to treat their guests. We were given a King size bed even though the Sagamore told us there were none. While the Sagamore offered to take us back on Sunday night, at that point we were so happy at the Ritz we did not want to move. I think people should know that the place is not as luxurious as they make it out to be and it is quite a happening place for those who are not quests of the hotel.
