Everyone was really nice. The room was great - I actually slept the first night. Usually takes the first night just to settle in. The nightly cobbler and ice cream gave the guests a chance to see each other more than once and check out what shows were worth seeing - got great advice about the Hard Luck Diner. I would recommend the hotel - liked being away from the strip but the city is pretty easy to navigate. Highly recommend the 3 days before Thanksgiving - no crowds, no lines, no bumper to bumper traffic!!!

Apparently Branson translates to mean bumper to bumper - however our 3 days there were perfect. We went the 3 days before Thanksgiving and we had no problems with traffic or lines. Our hotel was great - slept great. The nightly cobbler & ice cream was a treat but mostly because it gave the guests a chance to become friends and chat about what to see and not see. We appreciated the advice - especially the College of the Ozarks center for a great place to eat (campus was closed unfortunately) - we would have missed that entirely. We especially enjoyed Larry Gatlin group with the Lennon sisters and Jim Stafford - we saw a total of 6 but these 2 were our favorites. A must to go to is the Hard Luck Cafe near the Christmas store - good food and fun entertainment. I was disappointed in Mel Tillis - 2 hour show but he performed about 30 min. The showboat was fun even though it was freezing that night. Amazing to meet people who had been 20+ times to Branson - but we will probably return ourselves one day. Can't wait to go to a Sight n Sound performance - sometime in 2008.
