The Savoy is a really nice hotel in a great location in Moscow. The room was very clean and well maintained by friendly staff. Flat screen TV, very well re-done bathroom with heated floors and a heated towel radiator that left the towels nice and warm to dry off with. The bed was clean and spacious, but a little less comfortable than I would have expected from the rest of the hotel. The closet and drawer space was a little lacking. The safe in the closet worked well, and gave me a good feeling when I left my computer there. Breakfast was included in my reservation even though this was not mentioned in my reservation. However, the cost must have been built-in, because my bill was spot on the estimated amount from the travel agency. The breakfast was very VERY good. In my time in Moscow, eating breakfast out at one of the various Coffee House, Coffee Mania, Chocoladnitsa, etc., was much more expensive for a small percentage of what you get and have to choose from at the Savoy. The hotel leaves you a complimentary bottle of water in your room each day, but the water at the hotel is safe enough to drink straight from the tap (in case any Americans are worried). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was really great too. It is very close to Red Square, Kremlin, St. Basil's, GUM, Bol'shoi, etc. I walked everywhere and it never seemed too far - at least for these sights. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a comfortable, well-positioned hotel in central Moscow. The breakfast can't be beat either. It's certainly not the cheapest selection, but I think it was very reasonably priced for what it offered.
