The Sergel Plaza Hotel caters to traveling European families and has excellent facilities for children. The breakfast is amazing, with an enormous selection of hot and cold foods. It is easy to pack a lunch from the breakfast choices. There is free wireless internet in each room. The location is central and an easy walk to all the sights in town.

The Scandic Sergel Hotel was the perfect place to stay in Stockholm if you want easy access to public transportation, shopping and restaurants. Many of the ""must see"" sights are within walking distance. The Sweden House (tourist information center) is a two block walk and you can catch the ""hop-on,hop off"" bus there as well as buy a Stockholm Card which lets you into many of the museums and attractions at a much reduced cost. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel was secure and as a woman traveling alone, I felt totally safe there. My room with a King Size Bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom was roomy and had a tub. High Speed Internet (wireless)was free and easy to access (I forgot my adapter but the hotel was kind enough to loan me one). Breakfast every morning is free. There was a great variety of food and because it was served until 10:00 AM you could eat late and skip lunch. Since the hotel is located in the city center, my room had no view, but since I spent so little time there, I really didn't even notice! The room has no coffee maker, but there is coffee available in the lobby 24/7-for a small fee. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again on my next visit to Stockholm.

I will return to Scandic Sergel. It does not have great views but makes up for it in location and price. Rooms are a good size and well furnished. Access to the ""t""- Stockholm's safe and easy subway system is within steps of this hotel. It is close to Gamlastan and the shopping district .The included breakfast is generous however doesn't change at all. Free wireless internet is a real plus. The restaurant was good...but pricey. They need to develop some specials that include a glass of wine if they want more guest to dine.
