Would not stay here again!

I spent close to $* for 2 nights. Was nowhere close to the value of my money. Infomration was misleading about spa and pool. I did not get to do either. My family does hotels for the indoor pools and spas. What a waste of money!!!!!

Hotel was about what one would expect for a low cost provider in the dead of winter. Room was clean and reasonably well appointed. Went down for a fishing trip and stayed only one night. Hotel was very close to the marina, which was nice. Couldn't figure out how to get the heater to get the room any warmer than 65 degrees though. All in all, it was worthwhile, especially since it was just a short walk to the Waterman's Surfside Grille.

The property has been "renovated" but lacks a few attention to detail type of things to still make the afordable rate worth. it. When you see a collection of dirt around the edges of your bed, (as well as a splenda wrapper nad receipt) it makes you want to sleep in your car instead. No phone in the room. So the note on the dresser saying if you need anything call.... I guess you'd need to use your cell. But the worst part for me is I am a non-smoker. I failed to ask about smoking and while my room did not REEK, I could smeil smoke AND you coudl not have your balcony door open because smoke poured in from other rooms. I LOVE having my balcony door open so this was a huge dissapointment.

The hotel has it's faults as any hotel that has been around for many years, sits right against the ocean and is subject to the wind and the surf will, but overall it was clean the staff was more than polite (both front desk and service) and the stay was very enjoyable. The young lady at the desk when I checked in was helpful and much more eager to please the guests than many I've encountered at much pricier hotels. Waking up to the pleasant sound of the waves and looking through the full window and balcony from the 6th floor was restful and set the tone for a relaxing stay with no major problems. I'll be coming back again....
