Despite other reviews by disgruntled customers, this hotel is what you would expect with rates in the $/* range. Sure it could use updating, and and a few more amenities, and if that's what you want, then don't go here. But if you want a good economical and I thought clean place where the service was fine, then this will work. Also, my husband lost his wedding ring and it was found by housekeeping a few days after we left. I called and they kept it for us. Appreciate the honesty.

This motel is an old-style basic bland motel. Worn & tired facility and not a good choice if you want/prefer nice lodgings. But this room was by far the cheapest in the area. It was clean enough for me and if you only want a room to sleep, this place may work for you. I am glad I chose this motel for the price. My friends paid double at other hotels and if my wife was with me she would not be happy. Since low price and basic cleanliness is all I want, it was a good choice. Easy to find and next to McDonalds, Pizza Hut, and a couple other restaurants. IU is just down the road.

This is the WORST motel that I have ever encountered. It was filthy, the staff was not helpful. There is a reason that it is the only motel around Indiana University that is available. Their policies for cancellation state "one day", however, one day to Scottish Inns means "one month".

First, under no circumstances stay at Scottish Inns. Read further for the ugly details. Outside - weeds everywhere, asphalt crumbling to gravel, dead cars in parking lot, none older than the 80's. Unsafe rusted walkway to second floor rooms. At this nearly deserted place, we say one women emerge from a room, tell someone on a cell, ""He stiffed me,"" and then go in another room. I feared my car would be gone or up on blocks by morning. Inside - front desk person tried her best, made me leave my license to inspect the room (probably not the smartest thing I ever did), electronic key entry - a must at this place!, very old furniture, this non-smoking room reeked of tobacco smoke, poor lighting etc. My daughter begged us not to stay here - she would worry about us. The hotel manager up the street told us to try hotels 25 or 30 miles away and not to stay at Scottish Inns. I put my money where my mouth is - we forfeited the $100 and left for home rather than stay at Scottish Inns, a first for us. You should not forfeit the money in the first place! Online travel agency should not be trusted giving this place 2 stars. 10 demerits is more fitting.
