We stayed two nights in two different rooms. Both rooms were very dirty and smelled awful. There was hair all over the bathroom floors. The location was great but we would never stay there again and will not recommend it to anyone.

When we mentioned their was no electrical outlet in the bathroom for the coffee maker (there was no coffee either), the front desk staff replied. “We’re sorry, but we aren’t able to have an electrical outlet set up to your room.”. We had a false fire alarm at 2am the second night and were marched outside. This could not be blamed on the hotel or staff but, however the utter unorganized mess that took place during and after the fire alarm is the fault of management for not training the staff to handle such events. We were shown the path for beach access by one helpful staff person ,but then told by another that it secured, and we had to use the street access to the beach instead. Their was no wake up call, as we requested but by this point, we didn’t expect one and set the alarm. Thankfully, unlike the front desk staff, the alarm clock worked. All too late we found out that Days Inn hotels are independently owned and operated, with no real accountability. Based on this experience we won’t be staying at another Days Inn again.

The hotel in any other place would be a $* a room hotel, but because of its location I guess $100 bucks is okay...i paid more because of the ART BASEL weekend. Hotel staff was courteous and wiliing to help. No Valet parking or parking complicates things if u have a car...if u want to stay in SOBE not a bad choice at $*.

The location is pretty good and the lobby was so great! However, once they rope you in, they don't need to impress you anymore. The elevator was dingy, the halls dark and dank, the room was only passable. We stuck with it because we were too busy to really care. At least we did not see any bugs. And the air conditioner blew cold, very cold. But the window would not stay open and the "closet" was not very clean and only had a few hangers. It looked as though maybe at some point the windows had been left open in a monsoon. But I will say that the shower had hot water and excellent water pressure--even if the shower curtain rod was falling down and the bath tub was backwards. The bed seemed clean and the linens were OK. There was a coffee maker and a safe ($2/day). In fact, the room we stayed in, 222, was HUGE! But sparsely furnished. We only used the elevator once, but that was OK, because the stairs we very accessable. All in all, stay there if you don't care about fancy anything and don't need customer service. If you just need a place to hang your hat while you go party or lay on the beach. It was fine for that. And it is walking distance to most good places in South Beach. For those who do not know where, geographically, to stay in Miami Beach, 21st Street is basically as far north as you want to go before it starts being less "happening."
