I had a great stay at this hotel. Located right on times square very good location. Front desk & staff were friendly. Quick check in & no problems with reservation. The hotel was still being remodeled but buffer floors were used. Lobby was beautiful. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

When we arrived we were pleased to be given a renovated room, very lovely. The intenal temperature of the room was muggy due to the outside enviroment. !00% humidity and thunder storms. When I attempted to turn the a/c on the temp would not blow cool air. I alerted the front desk with much difficulty d/t the inefficent inhouse phone system., long on-hold wait times, numerous dropped calls , and less then stellar problem resolution from the evening front desk manager ( KENNY ). After hotel engineering arrived and informed me that the hotel did not have the capacity to offer airconditioning d/t the two pipe system that was in place. Bottom line , we had to keep the window open for fresh cool air. This is great if you like or enjoy night time New York city street noise. Please include the early morning garbage trucks emptying the metal dumptsters, simply outstanding from a so called 4 -Star hotel. Sirens,Sirens, and more sirens! I would not stay at at this hotel if it was for free! The next morning I was given a $* credit for the inconvience. I would have changed hotels but I had pre-paid through a Travel agency special. The hotel staff was average except for the performance of front desk personell: ABC and PQR. Both gentlemen were very accomadating and apologetic for the rude experience with the evening front desk manager ( KENNY ). Whenever I interact with service personell my barometer with said people is ; Would I employ them in my business and I am continued to be amazed how few people would work for me in the service industry.

I would never stay at this hotel and it's "star" rating as indicated on this website is completely inaccurate. We attempted to check in to our "club" room and were sent to another floor. The carpet in the hallway was a pretty good indication of the condition of the hotel--torn, stained rippled as if the pad was gone, or the carpet was not attached to anything. Upon entering the room we were met with a horrible smell. Even the valet said we needed another room. He phoned and we were directed to the "club" floor. The area just off the elevators was lovely, and adjacent to the club lounge. The halls were as before, and the room, once we started to get settled, was found to be dirty. Stains on the bedding, footprints on the dust ruffles, stains on the walls, a stray camera charger sticking out from under a bed. Extremely well-worn furniture. Dust everywhere. We called Travelocity and after some discussion were happily moved to the Crowne Plaza. We're waiting to see if the adjustment to our credit card has been honored. Sheraton seemed to think it would not be. Bottom line: a Holiday Inn Express is nicer and cleaner.
