Who: Three women on a birthday girls' getaway for shopping, food and drinks Pros: Nicely located. Cons: Everything else. Our room (two doubles and a sleeper) was tiny. There was no fan in the bathroom and the sliding door squeaked terribly so we all woke up when someone needed the facilities. The sofa bed was miserable and also squeaky when used as a sofa. We were less than 10 feet from the vending machines and there is no soundproofing. Every soda that dropped might as well have been in the room. Even the young man who checked us in needed improvement; he was robotic and slightly resentful. Certainly did not feel welcomed or appreciated as guests. Overall: Would choose a lesser name and get a better experience. Friends stayed at the Hampton across the street and up half a block, paid much less and had a much nicer room.

Lots of hidden cost. Paid $* per night - Did not include internet in room unless you pay for connection. Free internet in lobby but for only 45 minutes. Parking extra. At check in, said room would be ready in 20 min but took over an hour!! Rooms not up to standards of comfort and cleaniness. Bathroom door off rail; tub did not drain.

Booked two suite-type rooms; one for myself and another for a family member. Both rooms were very nice; really excellent for the price and location (right on the Plaza). Hotel staff was very accomodating, even with the hotel fully occupied that weekend. Although I did not use it personally, my spouse reported that the fitness facility was quite small for a hotel of its size. I plan on staying there again next time i'm in KC.

Our room was pleasant and clean. There were two tv sets and adequate space. When we (a family of four) requested additional towel, they were promptly delivered to our room. Check in and check out were problem-free. On the other hand our room door lock was difficut to open--it took 10 or more swipes of the card. They did nothing to fix it during our stay. The hotel ran out of coffee pods, so we had an in-room coffee maker and no coffee. They also did not replenish our soap/shampoo/conditioner during our 3 night stay. Internet access cost $* per day, an outrageous rate when you consider that even Motel 6 offeres WiFi. The location, just off Country Club Plaza, was terrific. we walked (even in bad weather) to shops and restaurants. Even though we had to pay for parking, it was very convenient and allowed unlimitied access. We arrived in a snowfall. All of Country Club Plaza was shoveled and salted, but not the steps and sidewalk of the Sheraton. They really should do better.
