  We had a wonderful time at this resort-style hotel. Secluded in the picturesque Spearfish Canyon, it's a wonderful getaway for a short weekend or an extended stay. The rooms were large, yet cozy, and we enjoyed a wonderful chilly evening sitting next to the large fireplace, sipping wine, and reading a book. The Latchstring Restaurant across the way is resonably priced and high quality. I recommend the trout.

  Location can not be beat as far as scenery. pleanty of hiking trails. only drawback would be you are far from tourist areas but that can be a good thing ...
