I booked this hotel thinking it would be great place to stay. I booked it because it was a Marriott and had high standards because of the name. It was not worth the $ we spent. We stayed in a suite for an entire week. Our bill was over $* so I was very disappointed in the room. There were blood stains on the sheets. The pull out couch had no sheets or pillows. After we pulled out the couch bed, a piece of the frame fell off. The room was not well cleaned. It had dust all over ther walls above the bed. When we arrived there were no luggage carriers and none when we left. The thermostat in the room would not change. The glass sliding door was really loud and kept sticking. We complained but was not satisfied withe the hotel'sanswer. I would not waste my $ staying at this hotel!

Hello, be sure to ask hotel if the beach is being dredged! We were not informed, when we went to the beach, the waves were brown, and my children covered in dirty sand. They are dredging two hotels up on the south causing the ocean water not fit to swim in. The GM: Nickey Henderson, told us no one complained, yet everyone we spoke to down on the beach told us it was terrible, and one woman that lives close by, said she has never seen it this bad in 20 years. We had planned this trip for our children to play in the ocean. Nickey Henderson told me she would let me cancel and go to another hotel, but after driving 3 hrs, being with children, we were too tired and exhausted to deal with the problem. I asked X if she could compensate me in some other way, and she said all she could offer me was "rewards" points. The hotel should warn you when you call to book a reservation, that their ocean is not fit to swim in, and then you can decide if you want to stay there or not. Once you are there, it is just too much hassle, especially with children, to go looking for another hotel.

Nice room, plenty of space for a family of four. My daughter was supposed to sleep on the pull out sofa, but found it uncomfortable, so she slept on the sofa with out it being pulled out. Was very cold during our stay and the heat had a hard time keeping up, but it was very bitter cold. Great buffet, we had plenty to eat for breakfast and brought some fruit and cereal up to the room for snacks. Hot chocolate and coffee all day. NIce touch. No silverware or plates in the room, but we asked and received some from the buffet. Pool was nice for the kids and a great way to burn off extra energy at the end of the day.

I stayed at the SpringHill Suites, VA Beach May 2008. It was much better than expected. The breakfast buffet was delicious with egg muffin sandwiches, waffles, oatmeal, cereals and fruit. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The view from our balcony and from the lobby windows was spectacular even during an unexpected thunder storm. the room however was a little smaller than expected but was comfortable and cherry.

Staff and Room were great! Everything in the Hotel seemed to be well maintained and clean! The free breakfast was good - about the only thing bad to say is that the staff started removing the breakfast food promptly at 10am.
