Sure it's not the best motel out there but it was good for our budget while passing by and visiting grass valley. This motel has a great location to local dining and shopping. The walls are thin but I'm a heavy sleeper so I didn't mind. The beds are comfortable enough and the staff was very friendly with a cat in the front desk!

This is without a doubt the worst motel we have ever stayed in! When we checked in for a 2 day stay we were hot & tired and anxious to meet family members who live in Grass Valley. Later we noticed that the grass green carpet was filthy, the air conditioner remote didn't work and the AC itslf was in such fragile condition it was difficult to manually adjust it. The toilet didn't flush very well. The next day when we came back to the room about 4 pm the bed had only been half made, the carpet hadn't been vacuumed and there were no clean towels, the wet towels were still hanging on the rim of the tub where we left them, and the empty Kleenex box had not been replaced. For this we were charged $* a night - the AAA rate although they are NOT AAA approved they gave us the AAA rate! I am in the process of trying to get a refund of AT LEAST one night's charge.

We stayed here two nights because it is near our family's home. It was truly unbelievable! The air conditioner was so fragile it was falling apart & the remote didn't work. The rug was grass green with ugly stains on it and the toilet flushing was dicey. The second day when we returned the bed was only half made. the floor hadn't been vacuumed, and there were no clean towels. The wet ones were draped over the tub where we left them. The empty kleenex box had not been replaced. The breakfast consisted of store wrapped pastries, cold cereal, coffee and cocoa (I think - we went to I-Hop!) All in all it was a disaster - a homeless person would think twice about staying. BUT the final blow was they charged us $*. a night.when the rate on their website was $* - still twice what it was worth. I am in the process of writing them to get a refund of at least $85. AAA lists this place and they shouldn't!
