Our family of 6 (four teenagers) just stayed in a King two bedroom suite. Wow! What unique ambiance in this renovated warehouse! Not the ordinary modern hotel. This one has character and history! The room was spacious and the two bathrooms were wonderful, no fighting for or timing of showers! The water was hot right away, towels were nice and fluffy. Having 3 TV's was also a very nice touch. The pool area was nice sized, though only had two tables. We walked a block to Canal Park, ate dinner and walked lakeside for a while. We felt very close to everything: coffee shops, restaurants, landmarks, novelty stores, the lake. The breakfast buffet was everything we wanted, hot and cold, and well stocked even with only a half hour left until it closed. We heard a dog barking only while we were in the hallway and could not hear it while in our room. The only negative thing we encountered was hearing the street noise in the morning, but it was time to get up anyway! Can't say enough about this hotel! The kids were the first to say..."We're staying here again!"

We were not impressed with this hotel. The rooms were furnished with cheap, worn out materials. The bathroom had old fixtures, worn out tile work, etc. For the price asked for this hotel, we expected much better quality. We've stayed in much cheaper hotels that had higher quality rooms. However, the location was good.

Great location near restaurants and Canel Park. It was a busy weekend, with the tall ships in Duluth harbor. The hotel is a converted factory/waerhouse and I had hoped for a little more imagination in the decor. I thought about how I would review the room while I was there and what came to mind was a government owned hotel. The room was clean, cool, and quiet with no flair. We spent most of time sightseeing, the room didn't make you want to hang out there, except to sleep.

Before heading into my bad review, I would have to say everyone was very friendly there. Otherwise, the suites do not look like the pictures. Walking into the room the bed look like it was going to snap in the middle. It had a big dip in it. Also, the whirlpool was not clean. It had a hair left behind that was, let's say not a strand that would come from your head. I was very disappointed. When checking out, they gave a discount for half the price.
