I enjoyed my brief stay at the hotel. The check in lady was very nice, but the lady that told us the check in lady had stepped out for a minute was kind of rude.

I thought that I had already stayed in the WORST hotel in Gulfport, MS then I stayed at the Sun Suites Gulfport Airport! It was definitely the WORST hotel stay I've ever had. The morning after my arrival, while getting out of the shower, I found that EVERY SINGLE towel that was neatly folded and hanging on the rack was also visibly dirty -- obviously none of them had been washed after the last hotel guest. I left the dirty towels on the floor expecting them to be exchanged. When I got back to my room at 9PM that evening, I was locked out (my reservation had been pre-paid for three nights.) The front desk gave me a new key, which also wouldn't open the door. So, the security guard came up to the room and used a metal key to undo the bolt lock. When I asked what I should do if I needed to leave the room, she said I would just have to wait until morning to leave since no maintenance man was working that night--all I could think was "I'm your paying guest, NOT your prisoner!!!" Once I got into the room I was surprised to find that all of the dirty towels that I found in the room were still on the bathroom floor, and the bed was unmade. When I called the desk, the same lady who checked me in the night before told me that I had to bring the towels down myself to exchange--even though they were dirty when I checked-in! She also told me that the person who checked me in SHOULD have told that I had to exchange the towels myself--of course SHE was the also the person who checked me in! Then I asked why the room hadn't been serviced and the bed was still unmade. I was told that the rooms were only serviced once a week and my room was on the schedule for Mondays--but I checked in on a Thursday--so does that mean that I was sleeping on the same unwashed sheets that the person who stayed here on Monday/ Tuesday/ Wednesday night slept on???--based on the dirty towels, I'd have to guess yes. She did offer to have the room serviced/ cleaned the next morning if I wanted, which I said YES, I DEFINITELY WANT THE ROOM SERVICED TOMORROW. However, when I arrived back at the room after an all-day meeting the next evening at 9PM, the same dirty towels are on the bathroom floor the bed is still unmade and there are used water glasses on the night stand. There is also a large cockroach and a used maxipad in laying in the outside hallway that have been there for the last three nights. I stay in gulfport 5 times a year, and have at least 30 associates who also stay in Gulfport just as often. I will NEVER stay at the Sun Suites Gulfport Airport again, and I will be sharing this story with all 30+ of my associates who stay in the area several times a year.

My husband and I came down from H'burg on a whim to go gambling. We saw the Sun Suites on the way into town and found it on Travel Website. It was very affordable and we were pleasantly surprised at the friendliness and cleanliness of the hotel for such an affordable price. We will continue to use Sun Suites throughout our travels now and can not wait for our next trip back to Gulfport Sun Suites!

My wife and I stopped by after shopping at the near by outlet mall. Needed to stay two nights in Gulfport. Had a wonderful stay. Hotel was clean and even had a kitchen. Staff was extremely wonderful. We will stay again when we return to the Gulfport Area.

When I checked-in, I gave my name, etc. The guy asked what type of room I wanted and I stated the type which I'd requested when I made the reservation. So he asked if I wanted a room with 2 beds and I repeated that I wanted a room with the accommodations noted on my reservations, which was a double suite with 2 double beds. Needless to say, that's NOT what we received. The sheets on one of the beds was so shabby that we went to Wal-Mart and purchased a sheet set and used it during our stay. We took a photo of the sheet, to share, in case we had the opportunity to rate our stay there. Though convenient, we'll certainly not choose this hotel again.
