Although..had to wait quite a while for the staff to come to the front desk at check-in. Pretty sure he was off cleaning rooms or something. He turned out to be really friendly and helpful though, so we let it go. Good value, clean room. Ashland is awesome.

One cool thing about this hotel is the health club located right up the street from it. Its a full service club and the people are very nice there, a great value for the money and for such a small town the choices and amenities were everything needed for a great workout before4 heading back on the road. Ashland is a great town. This place is not right in the heart of town but still convenient to everywhere. Oh and there is a decent and affordable restaurant right across the street.

I spent two nights here. The main hall reeked of ant spray. The smell was so bad when I arrived that the cleaning staff had propped open the security door to air it out. When I returned to my room later in the evening, I noticed the lock on the security door- which clearly said it was locked & accessible by guest only - was not working. When I called the desk, the clerk didn't even care. The lock was still broken when I left. The room was clean but very shabby. Pretty low even for motels in this price range. Breakfast was the usual cheap fare you would expect. As a possible plus for some, it has an indoor pool, which I didn't try & wireless internet.

Nothing special; but the price was right. Spent most of the time away from the hotel so didn't need anything special. The swimming pool was great though. Clean and quiet. They have too much heavy furniture in the crowded rooms which they may want to review some day. Every space was filled with a chair, armoire or table. Bathrooms clean.
