We stayed here in connection with the annual Czech festival in Wilber, NE. I usually avoid Super 8 hotels, particularly older ones. This one wasn't all that bad. The room was clean, the bed - although definitely NOT a pillow-top mattress - wasn't uncomfortable. The pillows are thin, however. The towels were a suprise - almost plush compared to the small, thin ones at most "cheap" motels. The breakfast was paltry, but I didn't expect anything else. The staff was generally friendly and helpful. As Super 8's go, I can't complain - most of them are truly dumps with minimal maintenance once they're built.

Good rate, quiet and pretty clean, but the beds weren't very comfy, the pillows were terrible; flat worn out, nice towells, terrible breakfast; very poor coffee and poor selection of stale muffins, no yogurt or eggs not much to choose from. It was convenient to where we were traveling, but would rather stay elsewhere next time. Sorry...

I reserved my room last fall, when I reserved my room they were very helpful. However when I checked in the staff was very rude!! I had reserved a smoking room and was given a non smoking room. I asked what happened and was told that was what I was getting whether I liked it or not!!! When I reserved the room I was told that the rate would be $10 dollars less than what they charged me. Again the same person told me that is what I will be paying and if I didn't like it I would have to go else where, but I would still be charged for my entire stay since I had already checked in. Everyone was very rude this time around and the cleanliness of the place has gone down hill. I have stayed there every summer since they opened and have never had a problem, but from now on I guess I will have to go and stay in Lincoln, because the Crete Super 8 is no longer a place that I will stay. And no I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!!
