Great for a quick stay
02/08/2011I stayed here the night before my college orientation (so that my mom and i wouldn't have to wake up extra early to drive 1 1/2hrs to campus!) ...
I stayed here the night before my college orientation (so that my mom and I wouldn't have to wake up extra early to drive 1 1/2hrs to campus!) I was excited to use the pool, but I didn't like how the shallow ends were on both sides. Personal issue, of course. The pool was clean and the water was clear, so that was great :) The rooms are outdated, and you can tell that they're old, but that's not so much a bad thing. Update the upholstery and bedding and you have a quaint little room! The thing that I really disliked, though, was the bathroom. It was super tiny (but that may have been that I stayed in a small room), and I had to practically get in the tub to close the door. The only other con was that the room I was in was warm, and since it was summertime, it smelled a bit musty. After turning the temp on the AC down, it was better. But that's not the best first impression to make! Overall it's a good place to stay if you need to stop somewhere in Indy for a night or 2. (you get what you pay for when it comes to hotels, but I liked it)

This was not one of the better Super 8s. They refused to transfer my reservation to a Super 8 closer to my destination. The room was older and average. I stay almost exclusively at Super 8s when I travel. This was the worst so far. Most Super 8s I stay in, I would give a five star rating.

07/20/2009Cheeper to book through the hotel... hotel was great. pool was clean. service was awesome. not much more to say. room was not dirty. very well kept up hotel.

Went down with 3 couples to watch the Brickyard Race. Hotel had a free BBQ Saturday night-a pleasant surprise. The pool was awesome after spending the whole day in the hot sun, and the BBQ was a nice touch. The hotel looks to be an older place and the rooms are comfortable, but nothing fancy. There are 10 restaraunts within walking distance, and shopping a little further. Easy access to the freeway and short trip to the speedway. The beds were not comfortable, and the pillows had seen better days. . She apparently thought that was all we needed, since when we returned after the race, our room hadn't been cleaned. We told the front desk about it, and (unfortunately) at 6:30am the next morning the maid was banging on the door. The hotel was very convenient for our needs, and for the price, we'd go back again next year.
