Excellent stay
12/06/2010I came here on vacation with my wife and 3 of my children. the rooms were good and comfortable; the service and breakfasts were fine. i highly recommend it.

This hotel is in a great location in Culver City. Getting to the beach or a movie was quick and easy from this location. The hotel grounds were clean and well maintained as was the pool. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I didn't bring my laptop, but they had one I could use in the office area anytime day or night. I had no problems with the computer or the connection for looking up places to eat or places to go. My room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. I went grocery shopping and used the fridge in my room to store my food so I did not go to the free breakfast and cannot comment on it. The hotel does not have interior/enclosed corridors so the room doors open to the outside. This was fine, I did not have any problems, but to bring the safety rating up to excellent from good I would have liked the security of a lobby that people have to pass through and interior hallways that lead to room doors. Overall, it was a great place to stay and I will stay here again the next time I am in the area.

Stayed here in June 2010 during a road trip across california. It is very reasonabley priced for LA. The surroundings are not scenic and the hotel exterior is also not very promising. But the rooms are a surprise. Large and airy, the tall celings with exposed beams help open up the room. Bathrooms were really clean and the towels were softer than you would expect at this price range. The lobby is non existent. Front desk was very business like. Parking is free and was not hard to find on a Tue night. Noticed a pool, did not use it. There is minimal free breakfast which we did not eat, but noticed being put out in the very small lobby area.

We have stayed at this Super 8 twice. I would recommend this motel to anyone looking for a very clean, safe, quiet, affordable place to stay. It is not brand new so there is a little wear but it was immaculate. The maids do an excellent job, the bathroom was spotless. The area around the motel is not exactly scenic but it feels safe and just a short drive down Washington and you are at Venice Beach. For us it would be handy if they accepted small pets, but that is not the case.
