The room was third rate, the wood laminate was peeling off of the bedside table, the room smelled bad, and the mattress was extremely hard. The room next to ours kept their door open while they watched TV and had their trash outside in hall. Not the best neighborhood. The front desk clerk/manager Diana was most helpful. I had never been to Amarillo before and got lost on my way into town. I called and she gave excellent directions, once checked in she helped us with which exits to take to grab dinner and gas up for the next day. Her helpful kind nature was much appreciated.

This is a budget motel. We have stayed here twice. Always on small vacation. We are never in our room anyway. It has always been clean. You do have to use your key in enter the building - I won't complain on extra safety measure. The continental breakfast could be better but we usually eat breakfast out anyway. The staff has always been friendly; in fact, last year we checked in before our "scheduled" room was ready so they gave us another one. Basically, this is a fine motel for the money.

This super 8 is a bit hard to get to, it's on a 1-way street on the east side of town. The parking lot was trashey with overflowing dumpsters. You have to use door key on the outside doors as well as your room. If you like to be out late you might try a better part of town. The staff was less than helpful. Overall an okay place to spend a night but I wouldn't recommend a long visit.

We stayed three nights at this hotel. Each night our keys got deactivated because the office staff, including the owner, could not figure out how to process our debit/credit card. We paid with a different form of payment but even then the owner deactivated our keys because he could not see that we had already paid. He also claimed we did not disclaim that we had a pet even though they had already charged me the pet fee.
