A busy weekend in Reno led us to book a room at this hotel for $*; that's more in line with what I'm used to paying for a decent hotel. This Super 8 property is completely crummy, in need of renovation, and lacks customer service. The first room we checked into ran only hot, scalding water in the shower. I had to stand at the back of the shower and gingerly toss water onto myself. My husband wouldn't have any part of the burning shower. He went to the front desk and asked for a different room. Initially the rude lady at the front desk said we couldn't switch rooms and would have to wait a few hours for a maintenance person to come fix the faucet. My husband wouldn't bend to that so she begrudgingly gave us a different room. In the second room, the first thing you noticed when opening the door was the smell. Ick!! It smelled like vomit or food rotting but we were on a schedule and at that point just wanted to get the heck out of the motel for the evening. I turned on the air conditioner before we left the room because it was hot in there (end of June) and also to hopefully aid with the stench. When we returned that evening, the room was just as hot. The air conditioner did not work!! Ugh! We couldn't sleep because it was so uncomfortably hot. Around 3 a.m. my husband went to the front desk to complain. They didn't care at all and said there was nothing they could do. These rude people also refused to provide us a receipt at check-out; I couldn't believe it. I don't mind roughing it a bit but I do mind $* for shantytown!!!!

I had one room with two queen sized beds. The room had running water of both the hot and cold variety, in room make-it-yourself coffee was available and not at all terrible, a well sized working tv and modestly comfortable sheets. The room itself was spacious, had plenty of furniture for storage or writting, and while not at all new it was as clean as could be. Over all the hotel was modest and perfect for my one night buisness related stay. Please remember when you insist on paying cheap, expect what you pay for . . .

Took 2 days to get phone fixed and extra pillow. Had to ask for extra coffee every day as they only leave one packet. People were rude and one was very rude when i complained that I still had not gotten phone fixed, extra pillow and extra coffee. Convenience store next door said they hear complaints every day and that is why they have a hot line to Super 8,

We were here during the volleyball festival, and were happy to find the room clean, large, and even had a small fridge for drinks and such. It was a bit noisy as there were quite a few other teams staying there, but not unreasonably loud after 11PM. The pool was pretty cold, but felt good as the weather was very warm. We would stay again.
