• Pampered, romantic bed and breakfast

  My husband and I stayed at the Beall Mansion for our 18th Anniversary. We chose to stay in the ""Anniversary"" room with a King-size feather bed and large bathroom with 2 person whirlpoop tub. When you arrive you are greated and shown around the downstairs of the Mansion which is extremely lovely and full of period pieces of furniture and artwork. Some of the ""perks"" of staying at this Bed and Breakfast are apparent immediately. You are shown the chocolate buffet that is available at all times to the guests in the dining room, the array of coffee/tea/hot cider/cappucino choices also available in the dining room at all times, the brandy in the library with today's paper or choose from one of the many books in the bookcases. I love these extra touches that aren't found at other Bed and Breakfast's. Our room was beautiful and equiped with a tv, dvd and vcr (Have not had this elsewhere!) The furnishings and wall hangings in the room were elegant and lovely. THe bathroom-- Marble floor, chandelier, glass 2 person shower, a heart shaped whirlpool tub for 2 and all of the bath salts/shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/lotion/loofah/head pillows etc. that you could need to have a fully pampered bath experience! We opted to pay extra for the ""Pampered Guest"" package so we also had slippers and bathrobes in our bathroom ready for our use. With the pampered package we recieved a 4 course gourmet breakfast in the morning served by Jim (Owner). Jim gave us a wonderfully detailed tour of the home with local history and renovation stories. Don't miss the lovely gardens outside (Herb garden, fountain, hammock, seating areas). Gracious hosts and small extras made this a very enjoyable stay! To cut costs check out booking online and opt for no gourmet breakfast.
