My husband and I just stayed there for a week vacation and it is extremely far from the strip! We had to pay an $* fee per person per day that we wanted to go up to the strip to see anything. So if you go you DEFINITELY need a car. Also the timeshare pitch is really annoying. I knew that it was a timeshare, we were going as a gift of one of our friends- I nicely told the staff the first day when we checked in that I didn't want to get a "resort update" which is what they were calling it. But then the next morning they called us around 8am asking us if we were sure that we didn't want to come to a complementary breakfast or lunch, we said no. Then we got an envelope with another offer the next morning. C'mon now, when does No mean no to these people? I asked several others while in the pool and they said this was one of the pushier timeshare places they had been at. Two years ago as a gift from the same friend we went to Acapulco, Mexico through RCI and it was also a timeshare resort and they asked once, we said no, and they left us alone the rest of our week stay- go figure! So if you want to stay here here's the heads up: -you will be pressured into a timeshare tour or get hounded like crazy -is really far from the strip and get charged for a shuttle up to the strip -they do however give you an opportunity for a shuttle to go the the local Walmart for groceries to use in the full kitchen -pools are not centrally located, was a hike from our room!

This is a definitely a family friendly hotel in Vegas. The location of the hotel was just right from the Vegas strip. I loved the resort provided cooking ware for their fully equiped kitchen. Saved lots of money on food this way. Very clean, but you have to throw you own trash and they don't turn the rooms everyday. The concierge was a bit short with us front desk was very accomodating with our request to put our 3 rooms next to each other. There are 2 swimming pools the temperature was cold and ice cold, but later turned on the heat. Great place to stay for a long Vegas vacation with the kids.

The Grandview is located next to the South Point Casino and you can easily walk to its retaurants and facilities. The Grandview itself has an excellent deli near its pool, and it is easy to get cooked food as well as snacks and basic necessities there. The location is very convenient because it is directly south of the strip and it is a straight shot north to the main activities. The Grandview itself is really set up as a time share, but you can also rent rooms by the day. The basic units have laundry faciilities as well as kitchens and livingrooms. Very spacious and well kept.

I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the place was. No one bothered us about the time share place. It is located at the end of the las Vegas strip away from the big hotels but you would need a car to come here.. The casino next store has a great place for prime rib.. to eat.. and at $* was a deal. The buffet for breakfast was great.. only ..... at the casino also.. you can walk over to it which is a bonus.
