Was visiting family in Tucson with wife and two kids. The grounds are very nice. The room had a sitting area and kitchenette that provided plenty of room. The kitchen appliances and fixtures are old and need updating. There is an additional resort fee, which I found to be irritating. I'm not sure of the rationale for not including the fee in the room price, but it is misleading. The rooms and furnishings are dated, but comfortable and quiet. The pool does not have a jacuzzi, but you are allowed to use the pool at the resort, which is about a mile away.

On the outside the resort has kept their 4 star, however the room we stayed in (1 king bed w/ kitchenette) was no more then 3 star. Appliances and furnishing needs updating and paint was peeling on the ceiling. The staff was overly friendly and helpful, and maid service was great however. Food was pricey, but worth the money. And the grounds and rooms are nice and quiet. They even have a family of horned owls living above their entrance which we thought was pretty cool. Be aware they do have a $24 a day resort fee of which they tax every day. So add a nice chunk of change onto that final price. If you're into golf, tennis, and having a nice fitness room the resort fee is worth it. But if you're staying just for the room and out of town for the rest of your stay, I'd probably take my money elsewhere.

Top rate, staff, room size, value for the money excellent. I may have recieved a really good rate for the nights I stayed through online travel website but regardless, the stay was great. The only short coming was the one night we ate at the hotel. We paid the equivelant of another nights stay for a meal I could have gotten on the local economy for a third the cost. Understand your staff gratuities will be charged on top of the quoted rate. Even with that additional cost, this was a great stay for the money. The view from the room balcony.......breathtaking.
