This is a fairly new hotel so of course everything was like brand new. We had a very comfy lakefront room with a balcony. My husband didn't care for the pillows (too soft) but I thought they were great. The staff was friendly. The hotel is much smaller than we thought but cozy. Offer a free breakfast every morning which was very good. They have a small bar (4 stools) in their lobby and serve appetizers. You can sit in the lobby which is very comfy (leather chairs, rocking chairs) or outside on their balcony overlooking the lake while listening to piano music. We didn't partake in this as we were out and about scooting around the lake but it sounded like a nice thing to do before going out for dinner. Fireside Restaurant which is just two blocks away is a fabulous waterfront restaurant-ate there twice. The road goes all around the lake. The Bridge is a fun place to eat, indoor and outdoor dining. They had a band with steel drum music - great fun! Several other places around the lake. We love to socialize and The Lodge was very quiet but a lovely hotel with lounge chairs on a small beach. If you bring a boat the docking space is very limited and probably why they charge $*. a day. It looked like there was only space for 4 boats. Some guests were fishing off the pier - don't know if they caught anything. Seems to be a recreational lake - a lot of pontoons.
