This is a great hotel about a 20 min shuttle to Beaver, 30 min shuttle to Vail. Shuttle was complimentary. Make sure you arrange/reserve shuttle in advance of arrival, as times book up quickly. This would be one of the nicer hotels in Vail if you plopped it in the middle of Vail Village. Much more reasonable rates if you're willing to shuttle a ways, and it is a beautiful and secluded setting. Rooms are nice and spacious. The best feature of this property is their complimentary ski club in Vail (Beaver Creek Club was OK, but Vail was great). Great breakfast and apres-ski at the club, as well as a place to store a duffel. The club is primarily more wealthy Vail residents who use it as their hub of activity and their social spot, so I felt a little like an outsider who had invaded their little secret. But so long as you don't act like you own the place, everyone is very friendly and the service/ski attendants were great. Would highly recommend the Lodge at Cordillera. There are a couple restaurants on site, but don't stay here without a rental car, and plan on driving to some of your dinners for stays longer than 2 nights.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful; the pictures don’t come close to depicting the charm. We loved the elegant setting combined with the relaxed atmosphere. The staff was exceptional, nothing was missed. An exceptional experience! We hated to leave and would go out of the way to stay here again!

The Lodge is located just past Beaver Creek and Avon in Edwards. This place is just great. I was there during their busiest time of the year, but there was no traffic, and it was very quiet. The hotel is spotless with great service. The views from the rooms are unbeliveable. I would recommend this place to anyone but those looking to party hardy.
