Traveled to NYC in January - in the middle of one of the latest sonw storms. The hotel was excellent. Had a room with 2 double beds. Room was comfy and CLEAN!!! Had a great view of the city and quite rommy. The bathoom was a bit small, but it served it's purpose. Getting around from the hotel was EASY. You can get to most subway lines within a couple of blocks. Macy's is just a block or so away and lots of places to eat nearby. I counted about 4 starbucks within 1 block. Pharmacy (Duane Reade) is accross the street - easy access to water and other items for munchies. I traveled with a female friend/coworker and we both felt safe in the Hotel and in the area. Time Square is a short walk away, good to see at night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Thanks for a great stay.

This was our second trip this year to the New Yorker and both times we couldnt have been happier. The hotel location is wonderful for traveling by train, the staff is so helpful and pleasant and the room is GREAT! We both love the "New York" feel of the rooms. We would have loved to have stayed in the New Yorker back in its hay day. The location is great not only for traveling by train, which is a short walk from Penn Station. Its also a quick walk to many area attractions. The subway is also right around the corner and catching a cab out front is a breeze. Yes, the rooms are small, but you're not coming to NYC to hang out in your room as long as its clean is all that matters to me, and they were very clean. We're already talking about our next trip to visit the BIG Apple and make no mistake we WILL be staying at the New Yorker again, we love it here!

This was our first trip to NYC and we really liked the hotel. Hotel was very close to Madison Square Garden, Macy's Harold Square, Penn Station & the Empire State building. The rooms were nicely updated and clean. Great view of the Hudson River and reflections off Time Square. We would stay at the New Yorker again for sure! The staff was very nice and helpful as well.

Excellent, decently priced location, across from Madison Square Gardens, close to convention center, has a subway stop outside with direct line to Central Park and Greenwich Village, and a short walk to Times Square. Room was small but comfy, clean, modern, with an HD TV. Strong shower! A 24 diner (Tick Tock) and decent restaurant/bar (Coopers) are attached with a Starbucks across the street if you need non-diver coffee. Service was fully acceptable. We did the NYC Marathon and would stay here again.
