This was the first time my wife and I have ever visited Cancun and our first time in Mexico. This was my 60th birthday and our 29th wedding anniversary celebration. The staff was exceptionally accommodating, humble, energetic, sweet, warm and pleasant. The food was exquisite. Every meal offered a wide variety of meats, vegetables, fresh fruits. All inclusive was a great idea! We enjoyed bottled water at every meal and snacks at the beach. We wanted rest and the hotel atmosphere provided everything for us to have a perfect vacation. The sun is intense. Have good sun screen! Definitely order a night at the Sea & Stones Restaurant and treat yourself to a full body massage at the Heavenly Spa. We also took a taxi to the Hard Rock Cafe in Cancun and went shopping at the flea market nearby. Great merchandise, aggressive vendors...actually great buys at the hotel gift shop.

This is our second visit to the Westin Resort & Spa in Cancun. We like it because it's far south on the strip away from the touristy madness, yet only a 10 minute bus ride away to see it all! The hotel itself is clean, modern, (rooms are not 5-star, but very nice), the restaurants/food is always great/excellent! We have never been disapointed with a meal. The service is friendly, and always willing to help. The beach is nice, and great ocean swimming right out front; if too wavey, just walk 5 minutes south to the cove area for swimming. When the sun goes down behind the hotel, just switch to the Lagoon-side deck for more afternoon sun & pool time. The spa is excellent -- book appts through the conceriege to save 30%. Would definitely go again. The only negative: the sundry shop is very pricey for snack, books, suntan loation, etc. (i.e. suntan lotion = $* U.S.). Have fun!

First let me start off by staying this was not the vacation i was prepaired for or even booked. The highway to the airport was iced in for 70+ miles on the way to our cozumel trip. So to salvage our honeymoon we booked this trip sight unseen via phone. When we arrived in the hotel the resourt was beautyful. The private beaches white sand and the minimal decor was just the laid back atmos, we wanted. The food was fantastic everything you could want to eat from american style to italian fare. Since the resourt is only 8 miles from the airport not many people were staying there. But who needs a ton of crying kids and people everywhere you turn. The staff was very friendly and took care of all of our needs. They treated us like royalty, they waited on us hand and foot to every want and need. The rooms were very clean, brightly decorated, and inviting. There is a travel agent on duty from 6am to 5pm and will book any mexican adventure your heart desires. The cabs from the airport will take you to the cleaners dont let them charge you more than 30 usd. Ride the buses anytime you can, sure there full of the locals but there only 1usd or 8 pesos the cabs charge 25-30 usd per trip. Most of the locals speak very little english but understand what you are trying to ask or say. STAY ON THE RESORT OR NEAR THEM. Also STAY AWAY FROM THE TIME SHARE STAFF IN THE AIRPORT. They are sneaky they appear as a travel welcoming staff in the airport, offering half price trips, free breakfast, free tequila, just come and listen to a presentation. Only bad no activities onsite.

We had a fantastic week at the Westin Resort and Spa. The hotel was beautful. Better than I expected. The whole staff was very helpful from the front desk to the wait staff to housekeeping. We booked the Royal Beach Club which was definitely worth it. The breakfast was great and went from 6:30 to 11:30 and the hors'doeuvres and cocktails were also good. The wait staff knew what cocktail or beverage we ordered before the end of the week without us even asking. They were very friendly. There was also a 3 man group that serenaded us during dinner. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was well worth it!
