Initially, when I walked into the lobby, I was impressed by the decor and the vast variety of snacks at their makeshift snackbar. The lady at the front desk was very nice and welcoming. They have a weight room, but I didn't get a good look at it. The pool is outside, close to the front door, so the floor was a little wet from people coming in from the pool. They gave me room 109, which was the first room in the hallway on the first floor. I could hear everything in the hallway and some sounds from the front desk. I recommend a room on a different floor. I was really impressed with the room; a nice desk and office chair, and wood flooring in the entrace/kitchen area and bathroom. The closet had a door on both sides, so you can access your clothes from the bathroom too. The bed was comfortable and the down pillows were great. There is also a small love seat and ottoman. The bathroom was pretty much like any other common hotel bathroom - nice light-colored wood floors and very clean. Overall, the hotel was really nice, but for $25 more, you can stay at the Hilton, a convention-style hotel, in downtown Shreveport.
