I was a little worried about staying here because we did the travel agency secret hotel pick and this was what we got. Our expectations were blown away we we got to our room. Decor a little old but no big deal, it smelled fresh and clean. The service guy was very nice when we checked in and out. They even changed our room to one queen bed instead of the two twin beds that travel website had reserved for us. The continental breakfast nothing special but hey it was free. It was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the fallls which is nice, And had free parking. Which here in Niagara falls is extremely expensive. Ranging from * to * dollars. Also don't forgot that in Canada they sell gas in liters, so looks cheaper but its not. We paid close to * bucks a gallon. Canada is very expensive, but way worth the trip. Would definitely stay again.

I don't travel often to Niagara Falls but when I do, the Bonaventure is my GO-TO hotel. My last visit was February 2011 and as always, my visit was enjoyable. The rooms are spacious, clean, well kept and the staff is attentive and friendly. Decor is that of more costly hotels. Wireless internet is available right from your room without any complicated access restrictions or set-up. Add to that a welcoming lobby, a nice pool, a free continental breakfast and an amazingly low room rate and you have the best kept secret in Niagara Falls.

I will never stay at this hotel again and I strongly advise visitors not to stay here! For starters there was constant running water sounds from the washroom, and at around 3:30 in the morning we were woken up by staff knocking at our door to come and investigate the washroom situation because apparently there was flooding a floor below. We were asked to move rooms at 3:30 in the morning! Then the next morning we wake up to find out that someone had smashed a beer bottle through our rear windshield! Management was completely dismisive about the situation and did not offer any help at all, nor were they available to talk to upon checking out, and they have yet to phone us back even though we have left messages. We now have to replace our windshield and have it re-tinted. We were also woken up early in the am by housekeeping, hours before check-out, followed by a phone call about an hour later, which woke us up again, and nobody was on the other line. There are many nice hotels in Niagra, and I strongly suggest that any travelers find one of those ones and stay far away from this place!

Not that this is bad... just not what we were looking for. The staff was nice and the location was convenient to visit the Falls area, but this was an older place without a lot of the newer amenities. It was pretty much a bed and bath... very basic. No plush towels or bedding. The room was spacious, but to get queen beds instead of doubles, we had to opt for outdoor corridors, which just didn't feel as secure... although we didn't run into any issues.

Just looking for a bed and bath as a pitstop on a trip... this will work. But if you like plush towels, nice toiletries, and a plush mattress, this is not your hotel. It really is more of a motel with the larger rooms having outdoor corridors. The staff was nice. The location was good. It was no trouble getting to the falls or to lots of good restaurants. The amenities were just very aged and in need of update.
