Location.The Valamar Club Tamaris is located on the Lanterna peninsula, Croatia. The hotel complex is two kilometres from the olive groves of Tar and 13 kilometres from the ancient port city of Porec. The hotel's private beach is 100 metres away.

Hotel Features.The modern complex has a shingle beach with natural shade provided by pine trees and a sand pit for children. The freshwater swimming pool has a water slide, while palm trees and a lush garden giving it a tropical feel.

The Valeta is an onsite à la carte restaurant, which is open for lunch and serves local delicacies and gourmet fare. The poolside bar and restaurant has a wide selection of drinks and cocktails. Most meals are complimentary, as they are included in the full board rate.

Expert Tip.The path up the hill behind the parish church in Novigrad, seven kilometres from the hotel, boasts a ruined castle with a gruesome history (Elizabeth Kotromanic, Queen of Hungary, was murdered here in 1386) and stunning mountain views..
