The Valparaisos Vineyard Inn is the creation of the Chilean-North American Team, Lawyer Kenneth Clayman and Hotelier Jorge Yavar Henderson. The Vineyard Inn, 'It is a World Class Country Inn, a hotel concept not very common in Chile. Using an Old Wine Cellar concept, intimate spaces and rustically decorated rooms I was able to create a unique, stylish and exuberant yet relaxed atmosphere ', explains Mr. Yavar. Located on Hector Calvo Street, on the hill aptly named Bellavista (beautiful view), the Inns doors open to the Open Sky Museum (Museo a Cielo Abierto). The walls of the streets surrounding the hotel are filled with murals painted by famous artists of the world. Atop the Inns eccentric facade of brick, wood and iron massive doors sits a u shape structure with all its suites looking at Valparaisos Bay and City and a terraza that offers a spectacular view of Valparaiso, the entire bay, hillsides, city, adjoining coastal cities, Victorias Square downtown and in a clear day the awesome Aconcagua Mountain. The Valparaisos Vineyard Inn is made up of 16 rooms on three levels. All of them are enormous suites with balconies and floor to ceiling windows to enhance their inimitable view of the bay, hillside, city and adjoining coastal cities, day and night views including antique furniture and traditional decoration. In general, the structure corresponds to a World Class multi story iron and brick structure, whose architecture combines exquisitely the aging of a wine cellar dating back to the ending of the 19th century with a u shape elegant iron structure rival to Eiffels genius. A day at the Valparaiso's Vineyard Inn begins with our home baked bread, a bowl of fresh fruit, some pudding or rice with milk, cereals, cheesecake, apple, pumpkin or lemon pie, and an omelet or one crepe with blueberry sauce. This can be served either on the terrace or in the downstairs cafeteria which is tastefully adorned with a classic set of china and a fine selection of wines. Overlooking at the unique and fantastic lobby with its massive 2 iron fireplaces, vitreaux, wall covered American oak wine barrels and 250 year old oak columns indicating its uniqueness and unmatchable elegance. |
