Value Place said they had refunded our damage deposit they day we checked out and gave us a receipt. It has been 6 days and it is not posted to our account despite phone calls and emails. We booked a room 5 weeks in advance for 2 double beds and had a confirmation number. We were given a single double bed and they couldn't do anything about it because they said they were fully booked. We arrived at 3 pm to check in and were told we couldn't check in until 5 or 6. We were told high speed internet was included in our reservation but it was 10.00 extra. The Expressway noise was quite loud. There was no fan only setting on the AC/Heater so we could not use that for ""white noise"" to buffer the Expressway noise. There were only miniblinds on the window and no room darkening shades and the security lights made the room almost as bright at night as daytime. The bed was super firm and very solid, no cushioning, not very kind to bad backs. Very limited desk service, no mechanism to leave messages for guests. Rooms come with 2 towels, 2 plastic cups, two washclothes 1 bar of soap and 1 roll of toilet paper. Anything else must be brought in by guests. No pen, no paper, no tourist information.Front desk was staffed from 9am-8pm on weekdays, less on weekends. No written instructions were provided for checkout. Room charges hit the card imediately. Our credit for the refund for the room deposit has not been been credited and we checked out 2.5 days ago. The positve features are: very clean, quiet clientele, courteous staff unfortunately they could ""not do anything"" to provide the room we booked.

We booked a room 5 weeks in advance for 2 double beds and had a confirmation number. We were given a single double bed and they couldn't do anything about it because they said they were fully booked. Depends on how difficult it is to get our deposit back and if I need to rent two rooms.
