  I stayed here for four nights. the hotel is in a pretty convenient location to getting wherever in Manhattan as long as you're using the subway. It was cheap by New York standards. Nothing fancy, but it was comfortable for the price. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner worked well. The place feels very old, like a converted apartment building and the elevator is very small. A couple bathrooms per floor, but rarely ever had to wait to use them. Good if you just need the basics.

  Its hard to find single occupancy room in a good neighborehood. I felt safe and secure in a small single occupancy room with a tiny bed and a sink. The place smells like my uncle's old mansion, (rather a pleasant memory). I didn't really mind the shared bath arrangement. It was kept very clean and in three days never saw the sign of another soul.
