Finding the hotel is challenging with all of the construction in lower Manhattan and a lot of the Cab drivers dont know of the W . and then finding the lobby to check in is another challege. We checked in at 2am...We entered on street level and arrived at a reception area with a desk and computers..no people...we phoned The W and they said the lobby is on the 5th floor. This is my third W or Loft quotcoolquot hotel so I knew the whole place would be black as night. When we did arrive for check in the desk clerk wanted to go on and on about the service available...I stopped him and said Your Bar closes at midnight and we just arrived here at 2am...in the rain and we want our key to our room...now. The bed is great and room was clean and mod but the BR was way too small for the size of the room. Staff nice but...never again...
