My wife and I stayed for 10 days in January 2011. We were very pleased with the resort the grounds were beautiful as was the pool area. The staff was friendly and helpful the hotel its self is showing some age but our deluxe ocean view room on the 12th floor was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable but the sofa bed was brutal just asked our kids who joined us midway thru our stay! The resorts restaurant is good mid priced and my wife really enjoyed the daily happy hour at the poolside bar! The resort is close to many restaurants and shopping but beware it is a time share resort. We went through the presentation it lasted about an hour and fifteen minutes and was fairly painless plus you get some pretty good discounts on activities as an encentive. Parking was 16 per day but the valets were on the ball! All in all we enjoyed our stay at the price we paid #40which has gone up considerably#41 we saw lots of whales from our balcony and had a great time... when it was not RAINING.

My family stayed at this resort for 4 days in December 2010. The Hotel was beautiful, activities for kids and teens, incredible pool area! Our room was just beautiful and very clean, beds comfy and view spectacular. The staff was most exceptional, particularly the valet attendants. Resort is within walking distance of a grocery market and varying small restaurants; so very conveniently located. Only draw backs we noted were the lack of laundry facilities. there was one washer/2 dryers servicing our entire floor...the washer was broken; which was huge bummer. Also the sharp coral directly in front of the hotel [not a good swimming beach; daughter cut her leg fairly badly right off the bat] were also warned of sea urchins floating about - youch! Other than that, this was by far the nicest resort my family has stayed in. Heard the snorkeling just down the beach [in front of the westin] is excellent and short walk away. Looking forward to your next visit there in Dec 2011!!!!

We stayed Oct 1 - 9 2010. We were on the 8th floor and paid for an upgraded view. If looking to the left you could see the water looking straight ahead you viewed the hotel nextdoor. Unfortunately we were directly above the service entrance and there were many nighttime deliveries of huge trucks with back up beepers continually arriving and leaving with deliveries. Our last night a sewer truck backed up and pumped sewer! The smell was awful and the truck took 2 - 3 hours to pump the sewer. You could hear the loud pump running. It was impossible to sleep! We had complained about our room after the 1st night and were shown what they said was the only available room. It was on the other side of the hotel on the 2nd floor directly above the front entrance. We turned them down. Its a beautiful hotel but not worth the price!

was more like a view of your neighbors balcony. That was a HUGE disappointment! Other than that we really had a great. The room was cleancomfortable and quiet..for the most part. The staff at the patio bar were Awesome and helped us find some great local resturants.
