FORT MADISON – It’s a three-way race going into the June 5 primary for the Democrats’ choice to seek election to the Iowa District 42 Senate seat.

An annual spring tradition at the Lee County Board of Supervisors meeting is to field complaints about road conditions in the county. This has been an off year for that – the area hasn’t seen a particularly wet winter or spring – so the roads haven’t been as soft as in the past years.

Brock Schneden worked wonders for Fort Madison High School's baseball team. Now, he wants to do the same thing for his alma mater. Schneden begins his first season as Burlington's baseball coach, and is a rising star among the coaching ranks.
