Count Room Representative

Job Summary: Collects Bill Validator cans from casino floor. Counts money from Table Game and Slot (Bill Validator) drop boxes and provides accurate totals. Inputs count data into count room computer systems. Also, empties buckets of coin from Slot Machine Drop and transports coin to the Count Room. Weighs, counts, wraps and records slot drop according to set procedures. Transfers coin from the Count Room to Employee Cage.

Essential Job Functions: Sorts, counts, and records contents of table game drop boxes and currency drop boxes, according to set procedures. Responsible to balance funds and create daily reports. Operates Currency Counter equipment and conducts minor repairs and maintenance. Picks-up, protects and transports all buckets of Slot Drop Coin from the casino floor to the Count Room. Wraps all coin and transfers to Employee Cage. Performs duties as assigned, always presenting oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous money-handling experience is preferred. Must be able to work graveyard, any day of the week. Adding machine, computer terminal operation, and currency counting machine skills helpful. Basic mechanical (repair) ability preferred. Prior count room or money handling experience (casino or bank) is preferred. Must be able to read and write English. Must be able to work all shifts. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Physical, Mental And Environmental Demands: Must be able to maneuver in and around all count rooms. Must be able to push, pull carts and carry up to 75 pounds of boxes filled with currency or push / pull carts weighing up to 5,850 lbs. with the assistance of a team member and/or electric tug. Must be able to continuously remove buckets weighing up to 90 lbs. from under slot machines and lift a bucket to head height in order to place on carts. Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch to remove slot drop coin and be able to pick-up currency dropped on floor. Must be able to grip objects and have good finger movement when counting and handling currency. Must be able to differentiate denominations of chips and authenticity of currency. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate a computer, ten key adding machine and currency counter. Adhere to Regulatory, Departmental and Company Polices. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
