Golf Operator 1

Performs daily routine maintenance tasks that help to maintain a superior golf course.Performs cleaning duties to include cleaning the maintenance break room area, shop, and policing road for debris. Operates weed eater, flymower, edger, and pruning tools. Repairs divots on tees and fairways. Empties trash containers on course and removes debris from playing areas. Rakes bunkers and sand traps, replacing rakes as needed. Mows and bushhogs with deck mower along road and perimeter of course and mows rough. Places pine straw in areas and removes pine cones as needed and as assigned. Assists Environmental Specialist as needed by pruning plants, blowing debris or mowing clubhouse lawn. Maintains ice, water, cups, etc. for water coolers. Works in and around shop to pressure wash equipment, build accessories for course, and perform necessary building maintenance.

Assists Crew Leader, as needed, in areas such a drainage work, transplant work, repairs to damaged turf, and replenishment of sand in bunkers. Mows tees and rough in accordance with procedure description. Assists with golf course clean-up due to inclement weather, golf tournaments, etc.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); will learn through on-the-job training. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
