• Serves guests at assigned station quickly, courteously, and efficiently.
  
• Assists guests in ordering from the menu, takes beverage orders and records ordered items on guest check.
  
• Obtains beverages from prescribed locations and serves guests according to established procedures.
  
• Observes guests to fulfill any additional requests and to note when meal is finished.
  
• Itemizes, totals, and presents check for payment to Cashier.
  
• Assists Buspersons, as necessary, in cleaning and re-setting tables to make them immediately available for waiting guests.
  
• Assists other Food Servers in a cooperative manner to ensure efficient service to guests.
  
• Completes assigned side work as directed.
  
• Familiarizes self with all items on the menu and daily specials.
  
• Uses good salesmanship for suggestive selling of perishable items, beverages, desserts, etc.
  

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 25 lbs.
  
• Auditory range to include immediate environment.
  
• Literate and fluent in English.
  
• Visual field to include near and far distances.
  
• Mobility to move quickly and easily about restaurant.
  
• Ability to maintain composure under all situations, including handling abusive guests, in a positive manner.
  
• Ability to walk, talk, stand, balance and work in a noisy environment.
  
• Manual dexterity, including handling silverware, dishware, buttons, guest checks and pencils/pens.
  
• Ability to work as a team member and coordinate activities between servers, buspersons and cooks.
  
• Ability to work in a “smoke filled” environment.
