Expedites and oversees special requests from the Front Desk. Responsible for answering all incoming calls and consistently updating the status of rooms. All Harrah’s employees are expected to deliver truly great service and to create a swarm and friendly atmosphere to our guests. This creates and ensures a fun and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount. Employees must work well as a team, maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies and gaming regulations. Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
Job Description:
- Answers incoming calls from both guests and internal departments with a warm friendly greeting.
- Logs all incoming calls.
- Take messages for management and hourly staff.
- Dispatches guest requests to Housekeeping personnel.
- Acknowledges and responds to customer queries, internal and external, immediately.
- Answers questions about Harrah’s facilities and services.
- Maintains a lost and found logbook and storage area.
- Responsible for documenting, tracking, and dispersing lost and found items.
- Responsible for disposition of assets and Inventory Control.
- Responsible for key inventory, sign in and out of section keys process.
- Forwards work orders to PBX and communicates completion to Housekeeping staff as needed.
- Responsible for tracking progress of all maid assignments. Utilizing manual tracking sheets.
- Checks and corrects room discrepancies throughout shift.
- Clears all due out rooms and No Service rooms by 2pm each day.
- Maintain communications between Front Desk and Housekeeping.
- Runs end of day reports.
- Must be able to clean rooms as needed and perform all related responsibilities. See Room Attendant job description.
- Must be able to work under a variety of stressful situations.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
- Adheres to departmental and company rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Individual must be highly motivated and self-directed. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, customer service, team-building and problem-solving skills required. Computer knowledge to include Word and Excel is preferred. Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English. Must have the ability to calmly handle stressful situations and be willing to work any day and any shift. Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Licensing and Certification Required:
Employees may be required to obtain a Missouri Gaming Commission license. The initial license is paid for by the employee through payroll deduction. All subsequent renewals for the license are paid by Harrah’s North Kansas City.
