SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSEProvides leadership and direction to assigned beverage service personnel to achieve maximum operating results, revenue tracking, and cost of sales control.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Coaches, instructs and mentors assigned employees in the performance of their duties and in meeting the department, property and company goals, i.e. TPSS scores, FOCUS based guest service.
- Controls cost of product by monitoring par stocks and ensuring preparation of drinks within established policies and procedures.
- Controls cost of labor and materials. Ensure quality of guest service levels through effective scheduling to attain high standard of service with minimum use of labor hours.
- Implements development plans, appraisal ratings, further training, discipline, promotion or termination for assigned employees.
- Performs assigned input work in compiling annual budgets.
- Monitors appearance of all facilities and service areas and follows up to ensure Harrah’s “Spotless” standards are maintained.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all applicable state, federal, and company regulations and procedures regarding the service of alcohol and related beverage service functions.
- Acts immediately on customer complaints to ensure corrections or service recovery is made as needed.
- Prepares and administers periodical performance reviews of assigned personnel.
- Compiles daily observation reports documenting employee follow through with daily operations using report as coaching tool.
- Ensures beverage staff is serving using C.A.R.E. skills.
- Demonstrates a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor at all times.
EDUCATION: College Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years Food & Beverage experience
Two years supervisory experience
ABILITIES:
- Fluent and literate in English
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to negotiate with diverse departments
- Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully
- Ability to implement strategic visions/plans into day-to-day operations
